5 life changing books to read

If you are someone who think that book doesn’t do a shit, it doesn’t help.

These life changing books will prove you wrong.

Although, it’s partially true, that the level of impact the book will have on you depends on you.

Merely reading and repeating the books will not help you, only understanding and implementing what you read will help you grow.

When you start to apply the learnings of books you will see the change in yourself and in your life as well.

You will be more confident and a better person.

I can assure you of this as  I am the one who has made a significant change in my life and all credit goes to books.

After failing miserably, seeing no hope I picked books to be a better version of myself and the decision, the time spent on books was really worth it.

Here I am recommending a few books that can really change your life  if you are dedicated enough to apply them in your life.

All these books are 5/5 ratings in my opinion and can change anyone’s life.

1. ATOMIC HABITS BY JAMES CLEAR

Atomic habits by James Clear

This one came as a game changer when I was going through bad habits, whether it be addicted to social media and video games or procrastination as well (most dreadful thing you can do).

I have been able to change these addictive habits and this book made my good habits stronger.

As the subtitle goes “An easy and proven ways to build good habits and break bad ones.”

This is the most practical book I have ever read.

The lessons in it are presented with examples in real life so that you can easily implement them in your life.

Atomic Habits will reshape the way you think about progress and success, and give you the tools and strategies you need to transform your habits, whether you are a team looking to win a championship, an organization hoping to redefine an industry, or simply an individual who wishes to quit smoking, lose weight, reduce stress, or achieve any other goal.

There is no doubt why this book is in the world's top most self help books list.

You must read this if you are going through some pretty nasty bad habits but make sure you implement the learnings and not just read it for the sake of reading.

2. RICH DAD POOR DAD BY ROBERT T. KIYOSAKI

Richa dad poor dad by Robert T. Kiyosaki

After all the unprecedented situations  we have seen in 2020 and  2021, we have learnt one thing that it's very necessary to be  money conscious because recession or pandemic can hit us anytime.

Humans will never stop disturbing the  ecological balance in nature and nature will respond in such ways.

This book is one of the best books ever written on personal finance, teaches a lot and leaves a long lasting impact on you by changing your way of thinking toward money.

Rich Dad Poor Dad is Robert's story of growing up with two dads — his real father and the father of his best friend, his "rich dad" — and the ways in which both men shaped his thoughts about money and investing.

The book explodes the myth that you need to earn a high income to be rich and explains the difference between working for money and having your money work for you.

This book will change your entire thinking about money.

Teaching you about how rich becomes rich and how poor stay poor for their whole life.

Teaching you about what is an asset, what is a liability with a completely new perspective.

Managing the money is not an easy task, but this book will surely make it an easy thing for you.

If you want to let your money work for you, you need to read this.

3. BUILT TO SERVE BY EVAN CARMICHAEL

Built to serve by Evan Carmichael

This book is definitely a life changing book, when I was reading this one I couldn’t stop until I finished it in one sitting.

Evan sent me his book and I am so thankful of that because this book really helped find my #WHO, which is life’s core value.

I figured out that growth was the value of my life and since then I kept on learning and improving.

Your purpose is your source of power.

This book will help you find your purpose in life.

Once you find your purpose it’ll fuel you for life.

You’ll do things that you never thought you were capable of.

Achieving your purpose will force you to morph into a stronger version of yourself.

You’ll have to push through fears, insecurities, and doubts that holds you back.

But somehow it’ll all feel possible and necessary because you’re purpose-driven now…and that’s the only thing you’ll ever need to fuel your life with goals and never giving up.

If you are struggling to find your core value and this one question always lingers in your mind, What do I really wanna do? What will make me happy?

Then this book is for you.

4. WHO MOVED MY CHEESE? BY SPENCER JOHNSON

Who moved my cheese by Spencer Johnson

This book is the shortest read but highly impactful.

I finished this book in one hour and the feeling I got after finishing this is incredible.

The lessons it contains are life changing and the story you will read resonates to real life at many instances.

It is the amusing and enlightening story of four characters who live in a maze and look for cheese to nourish them and make them happy.

Cheese is a metaphor for what you want to have in life, for example a good job, a loving relationship, money or possessions, health or spiritual peace of mind.

The maze is where you look for what you want, perhaps the organization you work in, or the family or community you live in.

The problem is that the cheese keeps moving. In the story, the characters are faced with unexpected change in their search for the cheese.

One of them eventually deals with change successfully and writes what he has learned on the maze walls for you to discover.

You need to read this to break out from your false self belief, this book will show you how fear stops us from getting what we want, whether you call it the fear of the unknown or the fear of change in both the cases this fear stops us from growing.

After reading this I gave interviews for new and better jobs (which I was afraid of), this book really helped me land not only on one but 2 new jobs and on top of that I took some drastic steps in my side hustle.

5. MAN'S SEARCH FOR MEANING BY VICKTOR E. FRANKL

Man's search for meaning by Vicktor E Frankl

If you ever ask me what is the book which took you into itself, this is one of them, it’s one of the best psychological books out there you can read.

As a reader, it left a long lasting impact on me with both the lessons and the sufferings of people shown in this book.

One thing that is stuck in my mind and will be for my whole lifetime is “Someone who knows his “WHY” can bear any “HOW”.

This quote will be there with me for my entire lifetime. You will learn a few things about logo therapy as well (to learn more about it read IKIGAI).

This book has riveted generations of readers with its descriptions of life in Nazi death camps and its lessons for spiritual survival.

Based on his own experience and the stories of his patients, Frankl argues that we cannot avoid suffering but we can choose how to cope with it, find meaning in it, and move forward with renewed purpose.

At the heart of his theory, known as logotherapy, is a conviction that the primary human drive is not pleasure but the pursuit of what we find meaningful.

Man's Search for Meaning has become one of the most influential books in America; it continues to inspire us all to find significance in our lives.

If you have lost your will to live, believe me once you find your "why" you are unstoppable and can go through any situation.

The hardships of Victor e. Frankl in that concentration camp where people lost their lives, will  be a driving force of inspiration for you.

These are some of those books which highly impacted my life and changed it for good.
